This Gold Coast bathroom renovation project included a significant upgrade from the old, dated, cluttered bathroom to a beautiful, clean new room which is now the centrepiece of the home.
Pre-Renovation Bathroom
The pre-renovation bathroom had quite a few features from the 1980’s which are all clear indicators that it’s time for an upgrade! Note that this renovation included a complete reconfiguration of the bathroom. The bath was removed and the toilet and vanity are in new locations in the finished project.
Polished Brass Features
This bathroom includes polished brass features throughout. With trims, drains, rails and tapware all utilising this opulent finish, a lavish and decadent impression is created. A particular point of interest in this bathroom renovation is the warm tile tone. This combines with the polished brass to create a warm, welcoming impression, whilst the marble tones and brass have a historical connotation communicating wealth and luxury.
Bathroom Contrast
This bathroom has a reasonably low degree of contrast until you factor in the custom vanity unit which makes a significantly darker contribution. This approach is popular in many of our Gold Coast bathroom renovations. The effect enervates the room, and creates focus and attention to the centrepiece – the custom made vanity unit.
Custom Vanity Unit
The custom vanity unit in this bathroom features a strident timber (laminated) cabinet and a stone benchtop. The benchtop is almost black, and the timber seams create the impression of this black benchtop floating in space. With an arched mirror, polished brass tapware & towel ring, mounted basin and upgraded power point, this overall impression is an interesting combination of old and new design ideas. In the context of the overall bathroom, these specific features recede within a room that is generally welcoming, roomy and lavish in nature.
Bathroom Reconfiguration
The versatility to reconfigure is always an option with Armrock Bathroom renovations. In the picture below, the toilet sits tin the nook previously occupied by the bath and vanity unit. This new bathroom is much more expansive and easy to use.
Frameless Shower
One of the ways we’ve create a sense of vast space in this renovation is the frameless shower. In addition to opening up the room, this also allows the showcase of the beautiful polished brass features.
Toilet Shower Integration
This picture is a great example of how we integrate rooms via the fixtures included within. From this perspective, it is clear to see how the toilet could easily be left ‘floating’ in this space. However, with judicious positioning of rails along the wall-line, integration is achieved to allow all elements to exist together – like they were meant to be there.
Toilet Style
Occupying the corner of this bathroom is a regal throne! With copious space surrounding, access will not be an issue in this bathroom.
